PLANNED TRIPS
The History Department are planning two trips over the next couple of years.
3 day Trip to London 15 - 17 February 2010
This is another of the popular trips to London. The exact itinerary will be finalised nearer the date of departure but we are proposing to visit Windsor, on the way to London, take a ride on the London Eye, browse round Covent Garden, shop in Regent Street and Oxford Street and take in two London shows(probably the Lion King and Oliver depending on ticket availability). It is also planned to visit 10 Downing Street for a group photograph, take a Duck Tour on on an amphibious WWII vehicle, visit the IMAX cinema to watch a 3D film and the London Dungeon. The hotel will be the four star Thistle City Barbican. All bedrooms have a private bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and a telephone.
If you would like your child to take part please return the slip with the letter together with a deposit of £10 by Wednesday Places will be allocated on a 'first come first serve' basis. The balance of £260 has to be paid by Wwednesday 2nd December. You can pay by installments if you wish.
5 day Tour to New York 20 - 24 February 2011
This trip will be to New York and the itinerary will include a trip to the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and admission to a Broadway show. The cost will be £830 which would not be due until December 2010. If you would like your child to take part please return the slip with the letter together with a deposit of £80 by Thursday 1 October 2009. Places will be allocated on a 'first come first serve' basis
