SONGWRITING WORKSHOP

In September pupils from Years 10 and 11 were involved in a songwriting workshop. The day involved the pupils exploring the reasons why people write songs and pupils looked at the process of writing a song, from the lyrics to the chord progressions. At the end of the workshop, pupils were given the opportunity to record the songs that they had written using music technology software and each pupil went away from the day with the tools to enable them to continue with their songwriting ambitions.

Rehearsals are in progress for a production of Our Day Out by Willy Russell on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th November.  More details to follow.
