  • Speaking and Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing

KEY STAGE 4

In Years 10 and 11, pupils undertake GCSE or Entry Level study.  The faculty currently follows the WJEC examination board syllabus for English Language and English Literature.  Pupils undertake coursework which contributes 40% Englsih Language and 30% English Literature to their final mark with the remaining 60/70% being determined across two examination papers for Englsih Language and one paper for Literature.  Many of our students continue their English studies at A Level and beyond, having developed a real love for the subject.
